Inspired by Patanjali's Sutras, I take a full eight limb approach to yoga, mixing a positive, balanced physical practice with chanting, mediation, pranayama (breathing), and yogic philosophy. I specialize in chakra awareness and energy movement. A student of yoga for over fifteen years, I graduated with my 200 hour certification from the Purusha Yoga School in 2010, and my certification as a Yoga Therapist in 2012. My students are encouraged to meet their practice "where they are," focusing on intention rather than expectations--my beliefs are based on the idea that everyone should be able to apply yoga to their lives, no matter the level of flexibility or physical strength.
I am a member of both the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
