Jess Purtell has been studying yoga for more than 15 years. Jess started studying yoga after a laughing pranayama class in 1998. She was transformed during the class and walked away feeling light, happy and different. She knew that this was something she needed to keep doing. She began taking Iyengar classes and was amazed how quickly her mind and body reaped the benefits. In 2008, Jess added vinyasa style classes to her practice and fell in love with the fluidity of movement and how yoga made her body feel.
Jess’ yoga practice focuses on the deep core muscles. She teaches her students to move from their center in order to create a more balanced and stable foundation for all things life has to offer. Jess incorporates the different styles of yoga that inspire her into her classes which make for fun and invigorating classes. Practicing yoga regularly is what makes Jess happy. Jess is an E-RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance and a certified Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor. She completed her 200 hour teacher training from Pure Prana in 2010 and Pilates Mat training in 2014.
