Jessica has been a student of yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 12 of those years. Hailing from a personal training, dance and sporting background she holds a bachelors degree in contemporary dance and is a 500 hr trained yoga teacher through Ashram Yoga NZ. Jessica counts herself fortunate to have trained with some highly respected and knowledgable yoga teachers and, in particular pays respect to Swami Shantimurti (Ashram Yoga), Simon Borg-Olivier (Yoga Synergy) and Donna Farhi. Having come from a very athletic and physical background Jessica is becoming increasingly interested in how Yoga can nurture, support and bring balance to our busy, often over-stimulated lives, in particular, through the practice of breath led asana, pranayama, restorative yoga, Yin yoga and guided meditations. She has personal experience in the healing benefits of yoga, in particular with musculoskeletal injuries and postural imbalances and in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Jessica lives (and teaches) in Auckland, New Zealand.
