For the past 12 years, I have been guiding and supporting students in their yoga journeys. My goal through intentional, heartfelt teaching is to help individuals find more calmness, peace and stability in their bodies, minds and spirits. I guide students through a reflective yoga practice with physical poses, breath work and meditation. As a student in my class, you are encouraged to practice with the balance of movement and stillness; learning to observe your inner self. Through this practice, you will build awareness of your body, mind and spirit; cultivating compassion for who you are as an individual.
I am certified through Yoga Alliance having completed a 1 year, 300 hour level training. I will start my 500 hour level training with Yoga North in Duluth, MN in October of 2017. I currently teach classes at the St. Cloud Area YMCA, Wirth Center for the Performing Arts (both in St. Cloud, MN) and various corporate locations. I have facilitated classes for corporate, gym and studio settings as well as specialty yoga classes for athletes, seniors, children, and pre/post-natal yoga. My experience also includes teaching private yoga sessions and creating yoga workshops and retreats. I have assisted in training yoga instructors and currently present at various professional conferences – offering pre-conference workshops on wellness and yoga classes. I am blessed with my own health and wellness business - JS Wellness LLC. I provide worksite wellness consulting, health coaching and yoga services to companies, organizations and individuals.
