Joanna Fried is a relaxed yogi whose life is filled with an amazing chef husband, an entertaining and funny 12-year-old son and 4 furry mutts. She loves to practice yoga, bake, pet-sit, write, and come up with ideas for her already overflowing bucket list. She has been practicing yoga for 19 years and certified to teach for 13 of those. She started teaching five years ago to children at her local elementary school and was involved in the first year of Community Yoga teaching high-risk children, troubled teens, disabled and elderly at locations around Austin. Joanna earned her certification at the Yoga Institute of Houston, and has completed programs with Radiant Child Yoga and Street Yoga Training. More recently, Joanna participated in Christina Sell’s Asana Junkie program and attended Leslie Kaminoff’s workshops on breath and anatomy. Joanna regularly teaches Sunday morning yoga at the park and at The Center Spot, a wonderful neighborhood recreation center offering all types of exercise.
