Yogadotcalm

I started practicing yoga 8 years ago with Joanne Hamlin and it has saved my life in so many ways. When I first started my practice, I was closed off and stressed out. Joanne has been so patient with me and has helped me develop my practice over the years. I am much more confident, more open to people and less stressed. I am still working on taming my "monkey mind", but meditation with Joanne is helping there too.

Joanne has worked with me through injuries (including a broken toe) and emotional crises. She always has a smile on her face no matter how she's feeling and she always seems to know exactly what my body lacks on any given day. Sometimes she will say something or adjust my posture in a certain way and I wonder if she is inside my head. She is very in tune to her students and their needs. Her voice is very soothing and her classes flow quite well. Some classes are challenging and some are gentle. In addition, we sometimes do partner yoga or candlelight yoga. Twice a year we go on yoga hikes in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, which is an absolute treat. I love practicing yoga with Joanne as my teacher and highly recommend her classes to everyone, no matter your age, body type or skill level.

Yoga Changed My Life

I have been a student of yoga for the past 5 years and it has changed my life. I was a former student of martial arts and suffered an injury that was corrected by yoga instead of surgery. I turn to it every day as it helps me deal with the world and everything I do. Joanne is a fabulous teacher who always helps us with tools we need to feel and do better. I highly recommend her and this studio for your yoga practice. I love yoga and it has inspired me to give back by learning to teach as well. Namaste :)
