My fitness background, along with Yoga and my time completing certification at Downward Dog, is in competitive rowing, lacrosse, and wrestling.
Fascinated by the science of wellness for the last decade, personally trying out many different healthy diets and approaches to calisthenics, as well as working out in many different indoor and outdoor environments and exercise programs.
I see the development of the mind and body as the necessary means to attaining an ultimate sense of satisfaction and self-worth, which I believe we all seek in life."
Certifications
RYT 200, 250-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Certified Instructor from the highly regarded Downward Dog Yoga in Toronto, Canada under Ron Reid, Marla Meenakshi Joy, Diane and David Bruni. While in Toronto, I also attended hand balancing workshop by the highly followed Simon Park as well as Katherine Bruni, student of arm balance expert Ido Portal.
I teach a healthy attention to alignment with the DOWEL, a 2 foot long 1 inch thick piece of sanded wood. This is a unique style that reflects my teacher training and personal philosophy that symmetry creates beauty in the body. The Dowel allows students to make the all-important mind body connection by bringing it back to the fundamental action of feeling one's own body.
