I have been teaching yoga since 2004. Prior to teaching yoga, I trained in martial arts for 12 years. While training at UMACA in St. Peters MO, I earned the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
While training and teaching Taekwondo, I also studied the art of Tai Chi under the guidance of Master Jiru at MABA in Augusta MO. This furthered my training in the mind/body/breath connection.
From my years of martial arts training, yoga was a natural transition. I believes the principles of body alignment, mind/body connection, and breath awareness apply equally whether you are lifting weights, sparring an opponent, or practicing yoga.
To continue my mind/body journey, I'm currently attending The Healing Arts Center in St. Louis MO to become a massage therapist.
