I am Josie, the founder of JoYoga. I started practising yoga about 14 years ago, after my mum suggested it as an alternative treatment for my sciatica, which left me paralysed at times.
I was resistant at first, but I soon found myself on a wonderful, challenging and rewarding journey. Not only did my body start to heal, I began to observe how the connection of movement and breath brought every aspect of my being – body, mind, emotions – together. And the practice continues.
Yoga is a very personal experience. Whether you are new to yoga or familiar with the practice, I encourage you to find a yoga style that is suited to your needs and abilities.
