I found yoga (or maybe it found me) ten years ago during a very stressful time in my life. Over the past ten years I have not only been grateful for how centering yoga has been for me, but I have also trained to become a yoga and meditation teacher (children and adults) as well as a yoga therapist (C-IAYT). I love yoga philosophy and meditation as well as practicing yoga poses for balance, strength, poise and peace (in body and mind, soul and spirit). I am trained in hatha yoga, restorative yoga and yin yoga. I enjoy encouraging others to see the value yoga can bring to how we live both on and off the mat, especially during time of stress, anxiety and transition. I am also a level psychologist, having taught at the university level. I was also a special education teacher for 20 years. I am an artist and embrace and love the quirky and unexpected. I also love to laugh and spend time my family and friends. Recently retired, I am enjoying the fabulous freedom I now have to travel and spend even more time to "doing yoga."
