I spent the past 15 years developing and teaching Yoga programs for school children (ages 2 - 19) and professional athletes (Go Chivas!). I have more than 30 years teaching with an emphasis in Svaroopa Yoga, also Anusara and Vinyasa have literally worked with thousands of students through the years and have learned so much along the way. I am a fan of Vanda Scaravelli (her book, "Awakening the Spine") and am practicing and teaching an "awareness is everything-based" Yoga where each student follows their own body´s signals. On Wednesday evenings I give a class out of my home. Anyone is welcome to come to this class and I ask folks to bring their own yoga mat. The class costs $50 pesos and the money goes toward paying a man to clean our neighborhood park. My classes always incorporate pranayama exercises alongside the poses and we like to meditate at the end. I am a E-500 RYT with Yoga Alliance. Because I have lived in México for more than 14 years now I am fluent in Spanish and teach in either language. I also schedule private clients during the day in my home.
Besides teaching Yoga and studying Yoga philosophy, I am also interested in Buddhist teachings. I love to read, garden and spend time with my dogs and husband. I also love to travel and try to go somewhere new every year.
