Julia, UK, thrives on the challenges of the Ashtanga Yoga and has shaped her lifestyle to accommodate just that. She is a dedicated practitioner, studying with intensity anything and everything concerned with this traditional practice. Every class taught, be it Vinyasa Flow, Hip Opening or Yoga Philosophy, comes from the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga.
Julia completed her 500 hrs in Ashtanga Vinyasa, at Kranti Yoga, Goa in 2011. She then stayed to develop as an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. She has lived and taught in India for 4 years. During this time, she explored ways to bring together the traditions of the east with the modern approaches of the west, promoting a balance of physical and spiritual. She believes this is strongly reflected in her teachings.
Julia was a Lead Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator for the 200 & 500 hr YTTC at Kranti Yoga, Goa. She taught Anatomy/Alignment, Yoga Philosophy, Myofascia Release, Pranayama and Meditation. Last year she taught at the India Yoga Festival in North Goa.
Julia quit her life as a Mathematics Teacher to travel. She now spends her time between the UK and travelling internationally to find new and exciting venues where she can hold retreats, trainings and workshops. She has continued with her professional development attending 50 hrs of registered YA training with both Janet Stone and Tiffany Cruickshank. When in Liverpool, she regularly attends teachings at the Kadampa Buddhist Centre and continues her Ashtanga Yoga training with Helen Aldred.
