Simply Amazing

About 3 years ago I walked into Julia's class with a heavy heart and lots of uncertainty in my life. Her hippy-dippy take on all things on and off the mat won me over instantly - not to mention her great taste in music. I know that some who come to class are there for the workout - and believe me, we get it - but for those of us that "follow" Julia we come for the reminders, including but not limited to: you're doing it perfectly, falling out of the pose is an awesome life lesson, who gives a crap that your neighbor can do it better, the poses are just silly, there is wisdom in not going too far, and my favorite...everything is yoga. I leave class wrung out both physically and emotionally but always lighter and freer.

A good day, the day I met Julia!

I am so lucky to have experienced, not only her wonderful yoga teachings, flow, grace and kindness in her classes but also on a personal level, Julia is kind and reflects everything I love about a yogic lifestyle. She teaches us to listen to our own deep wisdom on and off the yoga mat, vital not only in class but in life!

One in a million

Julia strikes that perfect balance between providing a great workout with heart and hip opening asana, while bringing a beautiful soulfulness and spirituality to the room. She makes it a space where it's comfortable to try something new, or back off if that's what you need that day. She teaches students to practice wisely and use their wisdom instead of their vanity to guide them. She provides modifications and amplifications for those of all levels, and I always leave her class feeling a profound sense of peace and ease. She is one in a million!

The Mother of Yoga

Julia's practice provides for a great balance between working out your mind and body. Her focus is on growing your own practice at your own pace while being a supportive encouraging instructor. She is great at demonstrating the technicality of a pose. Her voice is soothing and almost godly. Her choice of music during class is well timed and often times results in students asking for her playlists which she's always happy to provide. Most importantly, her practice heals the mind, engages the soul and recharges your battery. If you want to sweat your worries away, get in touch with what matters, Julia will get you there.
