Originally from France, I have been in the UK since 99 and a secondary school teacher since 2000. I moved to Perranporth in 2005, thinking I would stay for six months, but I totally fell in love with Cornwall and have lived there ever since! Although yoga was present in my life even as a child, I discovered its real physical and psychological benefits whilst recovering from a car accident in 2001. I started practising in earnest and it rapidly became an integral part of my life. I have trained with a range of teachers and this is reflected in my teaching. At Julie Yoga and Therapy, I embrace a holistic approach to yoga. Having had several frustrating injuries myself, I encourage people to challenge themselves whilst still honouring their bodies.
I enjoy using a range of yogic tools in my classes to create a warm, safe and personal atmosphere. This makes my classes inclusive for all levels of ability and experience, but delivering flowing, challenging and uplifting sessions at the same time. I have a holistic approach to body, mind and spirit and include yoga philosophy in my lessons to accompany both physical and mental transformation.
The magic of Yoga and its ability to transform us never cease to amaze me and it is a true honour and a joy to accompany people on their healing journey.
I started teaching in 2013 after graduating from The Devon School of Yoga and went on to study yoga therapy there where I specialised in Yoga for anxiety, depression and trauma. I am a certified TRE® provider (trauma and tension release exercises) and QEC practitioner and offer private Yoga therapy, TRE® and QEC sessions as well as weekly Yoga classes and regular workshops.
