Julie earnestly began practicing yoga in 2011 and completed her yoga teacher training through Integrative Yoga Therapy in early 2014 and she is a 200 + 50 RYT certified yoga instructor. She is also doing continuing education for meditation and guided relaxation. She primarily teaches Peaceful (Gentle Hatha) Yoga, Mindful Yin Yoga, Family & Kids Yoga, as well as Meditation and Guided Relaxation classes. She is a Reiki Master and offers Reiki energy healing, as well as Full Body Stretch (also known Thai Massage or Bodywork).
Previously she studied tai chi (wu-style) and kung fu (northern shaolin) for over 18 years at the Chinese Kung Fu Center, earning three gold medals in an international competition in 2004. She still continues to review kung fu classes and blends some of her tai chi knowledge into her yoga practice and classes.
Julie is also studying Kirtan (meditative yoga music and chanting) and learning to play the harmonium. Music and sound healing are integral parts of the yoga she shares.
