I first started practicing yoga about 25 years ago. I’m really passionate and love teaching yoga, and the many benefits we can achieve from the practice. It’s such a wonderful thing to share, helping people to heal themselves with the tools that a “yoga toolbox” can provide. It’s lovely to see people’s improvements physically and mentally through their practice of yoga.
I teach Hatha yoga: asana (postures), pranayama (breath), meditation and Yoga Nidra ( “yogic sleep” - deep relaxation). My classes are suitable for all and great for beginners. I like to focus on the breathe to still the mind and move with the breath to achieve a meditative affect, bringing balance to the mind, body and soul. There are no egos in our tribe, just a good friendly bunch with a love for yoga. I’m a good listener and like to tune into my students needs, keeping it inclusive, making it safe with adjustments and the use of props and variations in postures for different abilities.
I also teach in chair yoga groups, and private one to one sessions.
