I started yoga back in 2007 and experimented with a few teachers and styles until I found my match with Ashtanga yoga. I practiced in Cork with Niall Byrne and Kathryn Moynihan, as I was working a corportate job in the IT sector. Yoga was a way to unwind, and ease back and shoulder pains from long hours sitting in front of computer screens. As time went by, I felt more and more the need to change lifestyle and in 2017 left the corporate world to embrace my dreams. I started working with horses, running a trekking centre on Valentia Island over the summer. Yoga was alongside, a great tool to continue easing my body into more physical work.
However yoga isn't all physical. With practice, I became closer to understand Pranayama (the yogic art of breathing) and its effects on mindfulness and mental wellbeing.
Meditation, the "graal" of yoga, is now part of my practice and daily life.
