Kali’s deep connection with Yoga and Meditation began many years ago with a regular Kundalini & Ashtanga Yoga practice. Her passion and quest for knowledge took her to India to study Hatha and Kundalini at the roots with Guru Swami Shanthi Prasad, and then later with a Western school to study Vinyasa, Hatha & Pranayama practices in more depth. Since qualifying as a teacher, she has delved deeper into a Buddhist meditation practice with regular silent retreats, studies and practice in Buddhist mindfulness meditation. Energy healing and an immersion training with Sarah Powers in Yin Yoga has enhanced knowledge of energy systems and meridians in Chinese & Doaist philosophy.
Yoga classes are carefully created using asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation to cultivate insight through connection to the inner guru with dynamic and slow reflective practice thus encouraging a more spiritual experience. A sprinkling of philosophy thematically woven into the practice along with an emphasis on breath and subtle energy awareness assists students to go deeper into their practice and draw the gold from within.
Kali is committed to a path of continued learning to keep knowledge fresh and relevant. She is first aid qualified for safety of clients in classes and is insured to teach.
