Kara Huntoon began her journey with yoga beginning in 2008, after the birth of her second child. It wasn't long before she experienced the life changing benefits of yoga and embarked on the journey of bringing these benefits to others through teaching. She began teaching fitness based yoga in 2009 and completed her 200 HR teacher training at Frog Pond Yoga Centre in May 2014. Along with continuing her studies at Frog Pond, she enjoys annual trips to Kripalu Center to further her training with yoga masters such as Judith Hanson Lasater and Amy Weintraub.
Kara creates classes that infuse various styles of yoga, bringing attention to mindfulness in movement and creating harmony in body, mind and spirit. While every element of a yoga class is essential, Kara believes the rest experienced during the final pose of Savasana to be the greatest part of her day. Her goal is to teach you how to let it all go and rest deeply within yourself.
