Inspired by over a decade of practice, Karen entered the 200 hour foundation yoga teacher training at TAYS in Halifax to enrich her knowledge about yoga, anatomy and safe body alignment. She graduated from the program in June 2016.

Karen currently teaches bi-weekly Hatha Vinyasa classes in the Annapolis Valley and fosters a light-hearted, friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Karen believes in fun fitness that achieves real results. Her classes include the use of props, hands-on assists and a variety of modifications and options to suit every body. Classes are suitable for beginners and perfect for athletes looking to build strength, flexibility and focus.

Karen is also a 9x marathoner, an ultra marathoner and the founder of the Greenwood Running Company – a free, non-competitive group for runners of all levels in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
