I chose to major in Sociology at California State Long Beach to better understand the world around me, but it was many years as a student of yoga that ultimately lead to a better understanding of myself. In college, an opportunity to travel and work with habitat for humanity rebuilding houses allowed me to truly recognize the passion I had for helping others. It was not long after returning from that trip that I came to realize I could combine my passion for giving back with my love of yoga through teacher training.
I completed my 200 hour teaching certification through True Flow Yoga in Newport Beach and am currently enrolled in the Yoga Therapy RX program at Loyola Marymount University. My goal as an instructor is to communicate with my students in a way that allows them to leave my class with knowledge they can use to become more confident in their own practice. I enjoy coming up with creative and challenging sequences and encouraging my fellow yogis to not only work hard, but to have fun! There is no greater joy than watching my students grow to realize the true potential within themselves. I am so lucky to be able to share how much I absolutely adore yoga! Namaste.
