I have been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years now, and my background has been a very strong alignment-based yoga practice. My approach to yoga is to execute the poses as correctly and safely as possible, using props such as blocks or straps to help and support the body, to ensure we cause no harm to ourselves.
I believe yoga is for every body and we should use yoga to heal and nurture ourselves. Most poses can be modified or alternatives found to achieve the benefit of the intended pose.
I teach three classes a week at Virgin Active Little Falls (two Iyengar Hatha classes and one Restorative Yoga class)
I opened Breathe Yoga studio at my house in Little Falls in April 2018 where I teach five classes a week. (Three Iyengar Hatha classes and two classes alternating between Restorative and Yin Yoga)
