Movement and sport were always an important part of my life. In Yoga I found a valuable balance to my dynamic daily lifestyle. Concentrating my mind and body on the narrow space of a Yoga mat allows me to find strength and calmness. Yoga has also helped me discover a different dimension of myself since I have started practicing regularly and it brought me to where I am now.

I practiced a wide variety of Yoga styles (Bikram, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Iyengar and Anusara) and experienced lots of different trainings before I came to my own personal style that I am practicing and teaching now: it’s basically Hatha Yoga but highly influenced by the precision of Iyengar Yoga. I strongly emphasize alignments. Staying in the asanas for a long time gives me and my students the ability to deeply explore the poses in a meditative and mindful way. With breath and intention – the attitude and the energy that we bring in our practice – we can support awareness and the process of transformation.

Besides Hatha I also teach Yin Yoga. Stress, excessive unilateral sports, active Yoga styles, or too little physical movement can harden the fascia causing it to stiffen and no longer perform correctly. Yin Yoga improves flexibility and blood circulation, stimulates the nervous system, activates and cleanses energy meridians, and gently supports the movement of free flowing life energy throughout the body – leading to greater inner peace, patience, and ability to let go.

As a Yoga Therapist I also offer private sessions. Yoga Therapy can help with many issues such as stress, tensions, anxiety, hypertension, digestion issues, diabetes, different kinds of pain, cancer, depression,

I left my homecountry Switzerland in January 2015. Since I'm travelling the world, continously learning more about Yoga and life and offering my teachings and knowledge. Currently I'm living in Ubud, Bali.

Very dedicated, gifted and professional

Karin is one of the most knowledgeable, dedicated and professional Yoga teachers I know. She is a strong continuous learner in terms of her teaching practice and very gifted at passing on what she knows about Yoga, alignment, mobilisation, flexibility training and so on.

Karin has helped me develop a flexibility and relaxation training programme for older adults in Switzerland (www.bloomergie.ch) which has been incredibly well received. Our class participants have made noticeable improvements due to this training.

Superb experience

Of all the yoga classes that i have attended, Karin's class is the best class I ever had. I had the time to commune with myself and meditate through the pose. It was detoxifying and at the same time nourishing.

Very nice class!
