Since 1987 I have been teaching yoga continuously as one of Seattle's early yoga instructors, specializing in the yoga of Krishnamacarya and yoga therapy. Throughout the 1990s, I studied directly in India and the US with many of the worlds greatest yoga Masters, including BKS Iyengar, Pattabi Jois, Desikachar, Gary Kraftsow, and have been deeply inspired by my longtime friendship with Sharon Gannon of Jivamukti Yoga.
For the past 15 years, I have focused on the relationship between the body, the meditative arts, and emotional/mental health. I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice at The Four Aims Center for Mind-body therapy, which I founded in 2005. Because I am licensed, I am able to help the clients utilize their out-of-pocket mental health insurance coverage to help defray the cost of psychotherapy or yoga therapy.
For the past five years, I have become committed to the study of Tibetan and Taoist yoga, Buddhism, and through the graciousness of my teacher Tsoknyi Rinpoche, I am able to include the great wisdom from these lineages, to provide the utmost support to my students and clients.
