“A little bit of yoga everyday makes wonders”

I started practicing yoga in the aftermaths of giving birth to our second son, in the fall of the 2007. I immediately felt home with yoga. Later I realised that there was much more into yoga than postures on the mat, and I wanted to deepen my practice. I did my YTT with the guidance of Veronica Foody and am qualified hatha yoga teacher since 2012.

For personal history I nowadays kind a specialise in yoga to help manage stress for working people, in offices and workplaces, and yoga for burnout recovery. However, I am very happy to give guidance in yoga for everyone, of all ages, including prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, yoga for Moms&Babies, and for people with spesific needs. I participated to Breast cancer recovery with yoga with Alexandra Rossopoulou in 2017.

I teach mainly in and around Brussels. And summertime in Finland, my native country.

I also offer workshops on yoga, health and wellbeing (homes, working life). Having gone through a severe burnout during busy working years as a mother to 2 young boys, I did survive and in addition, with the help of nutritional science, came into better health than ever before. I am passionate about health&nutrition and have studied and experimented it extensively.

Amazing teacher!

Katariina is a lovely person, a wonderful teacher who makes you instantly feel at ease. No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced yogi, the classes are suitable for all. She is patient, explains clearly and she has a good sense of humour. You will be so happy you joined her class - do it!

I don't believe in rating yoga teachers performance per se because it is so subjective but I am happy to say that Katariina's classes have offered exactly what I've needed: calm state of mind, feeling happy and content but they have also been challenging. I felt the classes have a fabulous balance of poses with benefits and meditation.

Changed my view on yoga!

Katariina is down to earth, friendly and open minded. She teaches yoga in an easy, natural accessible way and with a sense of humour! She gives advices and explains without making it too esoteric/spiritual at least not for her pupils who are not so much into it. She focuses on well being and health. She adapts to the level of her pupils encouraging them to develop in their practice but at their own pace, never forcing.
I thought yoga would be dreadfully boring, not for me, only about abstract spiritual things. Katariina changed my mind!
