I have been practising yoga for the past 20 years and have had a daily meditation practice for around 10 years. I use techniques from yoga and meditation within my work as a mental health professional, particularly mindfulness practices which are becoming widely recognised as effective in the treatment of stress, depression and other mental health issues.
4 years ago, I decided to explore yoga more deeply and began studying to teach with the British Wheel of Yoga. ! received my BWY diploma in March 2014, and have more recently studied with yoga and meditation teachers in India and Sri Lanka.
