I am a licensed massage therapist and over the last decade I've seen how much yoga and massage therapy have helped to keep my Senior aged clients feeling great. I use my experience as an LMT in my chair yoga and gentle vinyasa classes, making yoga accessible and easy to understand. The chair yoga classes are suitable for everyone, and the gentle vinyasa practice is great for people who don't need the chair, but would like a more gentle approach to the vinyasa yoga style. In both classes we build coordination, range of motion, flexibility, and strength, but at chair yoga, students have the option to stay seated the entire time, and at gentle vinyasa students are expected to be able to stand and balance without support, and get up and down from the floor multiple times during class.
