Originally from America, I took my first yoga class because everyone around me was yoga crazy. I was skeptical; I mean, could it really be so amazing?!! It was, and I had no idea at that time, (15 years ago) what a journey I was about to embark on.
Even though I thought I was an adaptive and free wheeling sort of gal, moving to the UK was very tough. Yoga became something more than just exercise. It was a cure for homesickness, a way to build a community and a real insight into the center of my being. I started finding that the happiness on my mat starting creeping in even when I was off the mat. During a difficult time, yoga brought me joy. I'm grateful that it still does! This is my wish for my students, to find this feeling of joy on the mat and let it wash over their everyday life.
I feel so completely blessed to be able to share the wonders of yoga with others. If you are considering starting yoga, stop considering and just do it! You don't have to have the "perfect" body, be bendy, or even have a pair of overpriced funky yoga leggings. All you need is a desire to discover something new and wonderful. See you on the mat :)
Along with regular classes, I also hold weekend retreats and holidays abroad. See my website for more details:
