I am a 200-Hour Certified Pranakriya Yoga Teacher and first fell in love with yoga for its therapeutic and healing aspects. Yoga is much more than a physical practice - it encourages a healthy relationship with your body, mind, and heart.

I enjoy sharing the practice of yoga with people of all abilities and age levels. I am currently pursuing my 500-Hour Certification as a Pranakriya Yoga Therapist with hopes of bringing yoga to those who have suffered trauma, have chronic pain or illness, and those who simply want to experience the therapeutic benefits of yoga.

Kate Guthrie Yoga is exceptional

I started practicing yoga with Kate in February of this year. It was my first experience with yoga. I Crossfit three to four days a week and trial run once a week. So, my body is always sore. I was looking for something to increase my mobility and help prevent injuries. Kate's teaching definitely helped, but I got so much more. She taught me how to breathe and how to focus my intentions. I learned how to relax and how to control my mind.


Kate has taught me so much more that I expected to get from practicing yoga. It has helped improve my performance tremendously.

Kate's way of teaching is very calm and soothing. Kate really helps you to open you heart and mind to relax and focus. She creates a positive atmosphere where you can escape this stress in your life and focus on simply being alive. She helps you push yourself a little bit further than you could by yourself, but gently. This really gave me the confidence as a man to pursue what can be challenging for some guys. I really appreciate her style and the postures she teaches. I highly recommend Kate Guthrie Yoga to anyone interested in learning yoga or anyone who practices already. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been taking classes with Kate for almost a year now, and it has been a wonderful introduction to the world of yoga. She always seems to know just what to say in order to help us experience postures more deeply, and she offers adjustments as needed to deepen stretches further. She guides us into challenging poses slowly with an emphasis on not overdoing it while still helping us to push ourselves as far as we wish to go.


Kate often shares little tidbits with us about certain poses, such as her motivation for entering that pose that day, a story about a recent experience she had with that pose, or ways to vary a pose given one’s personal preferences. Kate has been furthering her own practice with training in yoga therapy and Thai massage, and she often shares things she has learned from those experiences during our classes. Kate's a great guide who helps me to fully experience the mental and physical benefits of yoga.
