I've loved yoga since I took my first class back around 1996. Since that day, I have practiced and studied many different forms of yoga, floating in and out of studios, but always finding one constant no matter the style: in the yoga shala, I found my peace. I would emerge a better version of myself, with a little more perspective.
The physical aspect of yoga is helpful to the health of your body, but what I love, what I crave to share, is the peace that comes from flowing through a practice, the single minded focus, the moments of freedom. I took my Teacher Training at Samahita Retreat in Thailand in April of 2014, and stayed on in a work study for two months teaching, assisting and doing bodywork.
I then had the honor to assist Saraswathi Jois at the Sri K Paatabi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India for three months in the fall of 2014.
I currently am exploring the space where bodywork, yoga, and emotional release overlap with intensive study of yogis under daily practice on my table, as well as delving deeper into my own practice. .
