I did dance lessons as a child and through my teens and always felt a great affinity with human movement. With a keen interest in health and well being I felt a deep connection with yoga from my very first class, in awe at the lightness of my body and mind after practicing asana and miundfulness. I'm passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with all people, helping them to understand how wonderful their bodies can work and feel and how deeply healing and balancing the practices of yoga are. With a background in the arts, I began my teacher training with Wendy Samek in 2012 at The Heart of Yoga to deepen my practice and gain more knowledge my lifelong yoga journey. I have subsequently attended many workshops, masterclasses and conferences on yoga and am a Registered Level 1 teacher with Yoga Australia, I have a special interest in ayurveda, yoga for young people and yoga for women’s health after recognising the important role yoga played in my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter, Frankie.
My classes are suitable for all levels combining both vinyasaa; linking poses with the breath in a moving meditation and longer, holdings using props with an emphasis on alignment that allows the tight areas of the body to open up and release. I bring elements of yoga philosophy and mindfulness to my teachings along with mediatation and breathwork. Students leave feeling longer and more centred.
