Katerina Kappou, has studied Environmental Science (BSc, MSc) at Sussex Uni, Middlesex Uni, UK, and University of Valencia, Spain (1994-2001).
She has been practicing Hatha Yoga since 2001, and has attended the 2-year (400hr) Yoga Instructors Training with Linda Kapetaniou at Lotus Yoga Academy, in Athens, Greece.
She has attended the Birthlight Perinatal & Baby Yoga Seminars (2012-13).
She is a Trainee Paramana-Doula and a member of the Doulas of Greece Association ().
In 2009, she co-founded and taught at Yoga4Life Studio in Halandri (2009-2012).
Nowadays, working freelance, she teaches Prenatal, Postnatal and Baby Yoga, in group or private sessions.
She has taken part in Yoga Festivals (Athens), has organized yoga workshops and retreats.
Her Perinatal & Baby Yoga classes are part of an holostic approach to the birthing process and an effort to promote natural birth, breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding. She organises and takes part in group discussions regarding pregnancy and birth, as well as group meetings for new mothers and their babies.
Each lesson consists of bodily movements (karanas), yoga poses (asanas), breathing and deep relaxation techniques. All the taught techniques are adjusted to each student’s level of competence, in order for everyone to benefit from the technique as well as to avoid possible injury.
