I started practicing yoga in 2005 whilst living in Australia. I loved practicing outdoors, early morning to set me up for the day. Continuing to practice over the years I was inspired to do a Foundation Course with the British wheel of Yoga in 2011 when studying Occupational Therapy. I wanted to further pursue my knowledge of yoga and how I could apply this to my line of work, especially after doing research on Mindfulness, which uses yoga as a technique.
Once I qualified as an Occupational therapist I went to study a 200-hour teacher training course in 2013 with the Yoga London School. Working part time in Mental Health, for the NHS and establishing yoga classes in York I have decided to continue my studies with Heather Mason on a 500-hour Yoga Therapy course at the Minded Institute. I am passionate about yoga and its ability to both influence and benefit people, at any stage in their life.
