Sadly we are faced with tough times in our schools and communities. Anxiety, depression and suicide rates are on the rise with our teens and we as parents and educators need to find solutions. You may already be aware that yoga and mindfulness practices can help. I would like to present myself as a potential resource for you and your school.
Mindfulness and yoga practices support SEL programs. Many schools across the country are implementing these programs into their curriculum and reaping the rewards with improved test scores and overall healthier school environments.
Locally, I have been teaching mindfulness and yoga in schools to both students and staff with positive results. Students and educators learn healthy ways to relieve stress, reduce test anxiety, develop self-awareness skills, and improve classroom well-being.
