With always been physically active between Fitness classes, running and doing weights I needed to add some balance to my fitness routine. Thus this brought me to Yoga 12 years ago.
I was hooked on the first class I attended. It has not only complimented my exercise program, it also has made a huge impact on my life. In taking yoga, it has given me many aspects that other types of exercises has not. It has really helped my neck injury I sustained many years ago. I used to have to see a chiropractor several times a month and now I may have an adjustment 3 to 4 times a year. In addition, it has brought balance and peace which has helped me every day in my work and my personal life. The more classes I attended the more I wanted to learn and further my practice. It has given me peace, calm and tranquility and provided the total mind, body and spirituality that I did not realize I was looking for and or needed.
As this has been a beautiful gift to me, I decided to further explore where teacher training would take me and in turn to share this with others.
With the tremendous support of my teacher mentors; Sara Hastings- Morris, Melanie Milne and Shambhavi Hughes, I completed my 200 Hour YYT Teacher Training at Prana Yoga Studio in Edmonton the summer of 2014. This is where I had a fabulous opportunity to learn from Leala Enfield and Denise Currie. I continue to learn more about yoga by attending various workshops and classes.
In my classes, there is a focus on prana, strength and flow thus promoting a connection between movement and breath. It is open to all levels with various modifications to assist in enhancing a practice. I am really excited to see you there.
