Curiosity drew Katie to yoga 12 years ago to find strength and balance in an ever-changing world. She became certified with Yoga Fit and has since trained 200+ hours more acutely with Vinyasa teacher Shiva Rea in Santa Monica and New York. Rooted in this style, she finds peace in teaching a fluid and dynamic flow class with rhythmic music and sounds, but has studied more structure base styles such as Viniyoga and Iyengar. She has also practiced with master Ashtanga teachers in Costa Rica gaining power and strength in her personal practice. Sivananda yoga as well has lead her to study basic principles with balance, breath and focus. Katie had the privilege of teaching in Costa Rica for eight years where she lived before recently moving back to Colorado. In an open aired ocean-view studio, she found the importance of finding our energy connecting not only with each other, but with all things in this universe; finding this bond between all elements has driven Katie to continue sharing this passion with as many as possible through yoga, meditation and positive vibrations
