In 2008 I stumbled into a yoga class. I had no idea what to expect, I'd always been drawn to the idea and curious of yoga, but had never actually taken a class. At the time I was living in Hong Kong, in one of the busier parts of town, and a friend and I decided that we needed some time to get out of the hustle and bustle. In the spur of the moment, we ran to a class in a nearby studio, jumped onto the mat and were ready to chill! Within 20 minutes of class, three things became abundantly clear to me: The first, was that our spontaneous act of rocking up to class without bringing a change of clothes was a bad one- skinny jeans being a particularly bad choice. The second was that this form of 'chilling' involved A LOT more moving than initially lastly, I felt a connection to this intriguing practice in a way that I couldn't quiet explain.

Ditching my Levis for lululemon, I soon became a dedicated student at Pure Yoga, and am so grateful to my amazing teachers there for planting the seed of yoga in my life. Fast forward to present day, and I'm lucky enough to have helped open and manage a beautiful yoga studio in London- Union Station Yoga, as well as teaching at classes and workshops at various other studios across London.

I've been lucky to study with some incredible teachers, and feel particularly blessed to have found my teacher Bridget Woods-Kramer, who's teaching based on the Anusara method have inspire my practice and classes to be playful, and dynamic, while being mindful of our alignment in each asana. Students are encouraged to celebrate their limitations as much as their successes, and we'll often work in groups or pairs to explore different poses.

I was part of the team to open the first European lululemon store in Covent Garden. It's an absolute dream and privilege to come back, and be part of the family again as an ambassador.

Katy’s background in drama and education has helped her hugely into the seat of a yoga teacher. It influences her classes to be creative and dynamic, while her training (using the principles of Anusara Yoga) emphasises proper use of breath and alignment to encourage a safe and playful practice.

Classes are open for all levels, playful and dynamic- while being mindful and finding our optimal alignment in each asana. Students are encouraged to celebrate their limitations as much as their successes, and we'll often work in groups or pairs to explore different poses.

The perfect yoga teacher

Katy has a real talent for making you feel at ease during a class, regardless of your experience level.
She offers every participant just the right amount of attention without being patronising at all and somehow her classes are incredibly relaxing while still full of life and energy.
The awesome soundtrack is a bonus!

Katy's classes are epic!

I absolutely love Katy's classes. Not only is she a proficient, friendly and well-learnt teacher, her whole vibe and energy is positive, engaging and welcoming to all.
I leave her sessions feeling like I've had a great 360-workout but also leave feeling chillaxed and zen like.
I couldn't recommend her more.

Such an amazing yoga teacher. Uplifting.

Katy is a wonderful teacher. She helps you feel at ease and encourages you to be your best self. Katy strikes the balance of relaxation, streatching and fun. If you are lucky enough to get an aromatherapy head massage in the final relaxation you will sign up to all her classes. Her classes are uplifting and I always leave feeling, stretched and wearing a smile.

Gets me every time

This little pocket rocket has it figured out. Her ability to guide you deeper into your practice yet keep a light hearted feel in class is second to none.
If you haven't tried one of Katy's classes then get to the studio ASAP as they are fab. Deceptively challenging, alignment focused with a sprinkle of humour, what more could you ask for? :)

My favourite yoga teacher

I trial lots of yoga classes as part of my job but Katy's classes are far and away the best I have been to. Her warmth and passion shine through in every session and her enthusiasm for all things yoga is infectious.

I've also had the pleasure of asking Katy to run rooftop yoga sessions for my wellness brand. Come rain or shine Katy gave every class her all and she was extremely popular with both beginners and experienced yogis alike.


One of Katy's best attributes as a yoga teacher is her ability to teach a huge range of abilities. I've been to advanced classes where she has really challenged the more experienced yogis in the class, but I've also seen her teach beginners with bucketloads of encouragement and enthusiasm.

Long story short, Katy is a fantastic yoga teacher and once you've done a session or two with her you won't want to go anywhere else!

Quite simply the best instructor I've ever had.

katy is a phenomenal teacher. I have learnt that my body can do things I never thought imaginable, I have learnt patience and I have learnt to love the body I have been given, all through the guidance and support from Katy. I have a very stressful job and Katys lessons are a very welcome relief.


She is so caring and kind and takes time to value each and every student. Every lesson is a complete work out but also a massive giggle. The class members grow to be very close and the experience is totally wonderful!
I was sceptical that yoga might be a bit too "hippy" for me but I my preconceptions and stereotyping was completely wrong. Katy has taught me about the way my body works and the importance of a calm mind. Thank you so very much Katy - I wish everyone could experience lessons with you!

Katy is really knowledgeable and she adjusts her flow according to the class' needs & energy levels. She has a unique way of explaining the right adjustments you need to do to perfect each posture. On top of that, she's a lovely, warm person who fills the room with positive energy! Impossible to not love her :)

Don't be fooled by the friendliest manner and relatively slow paced class - Katy will show you muscles you never knew existed. Combining a beautiful philosophy, serious attention to alignment and the occasional hilarious blooper (during some pairs work: "now come inside your partner") - Katy creates a fantastic atmosphere with varied asana and is always ready to alter her practise to suit the classes requests or needs.
