After her very first Kundalini class, Katy fell in love with yoga. Inspired by her teacher, Darshan Khalsa, she soon decided to sell her house and business in Northern Virginia and dedicate her time to the practice as a student and teacher. In pursuit of svadhyaya (self-study) and change in scenery, she packed up her car and drove across the country to Los Angeles.
There, she immediately completed her first 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2013 under the instruction and love of Bianca Fearon and Layna Dakin at Hot 8 Yoga. Since then, she has completed an additional 200-hour bridge program at Yogaworks with Alexandria Crow and is currently enrolled in the 300-hour program at Yogaworks with her mentor, Carolina Goldberg. She believes that there will always more to learn on her yoga journey and will continue training for the rest of her life.
Forever a student, Katy hopes to inspire anyone and everyone (in her class or not) to discover their full potential and live a life full of happiness, health, peace and love.
“You cannot teach a person can only help him find it within himself”. Galileo
