My name is Kelsey Hendrickson. I’m a former New York City corporate worker bee turned Sydney based yogini. After working in media as a marketing researcher for 7 years, in May 2013, I quit my job and decided to move to Sydney to pursue the things I really value in life. I have now turned what was a part-time gig but full-time passion into a full-time “job” by bringing the amazing practice of yoga to others for a living.
Yoga is a practice that brings me so much joy, ease and peace in my life and I feel so honored to be able to share the tools yoga has to offer us with you.
My style: I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, teaching both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga with a respect for each person’s uniqueness – physically, energetically and mentally. Thus, I encourage slow and connected movement with awareness on what’s happening in your mind and body as you transition through each posture. In my group classes, I encourage students to tune in and practice in a way that best suits them; ultimately working towards finding that balanced and peaceful place. I enjoy combining breath awareness and mindfulness practices in class, as well as pulling from my in psychology and passion for yogic philosophy.
