My Professional Bio - Here’s me in third person:
Kim Hershorn, PhD is a coach, therapist and the creator of The Life-Tuning Process™ which brings together yoga, bio-energetic, sound and narrative therapy. Kim helps people work through their embodied challenges and traumas so they could live fuller, more heartful lives. Kim’s work connects personal, social, and cultural well-being and transformation.
In over a decade as a university teacher, Kim taught media, cultural studies and social psychology focusing on the connections between cultural, social and personal transformation and awareness; and how human beings can live healthier, happier lives. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Kim loves to travel and learn about people. She has worked in nine countries and spent time in many more.
A fibromyalgia diagnosis triggered by a car accident when she was twenty, was one of her greatest gifts. Kim devoted herself to the study and practice of various approaches to personal growth, well-being and healing. Since 2002, she has apprenticed with a gifted bio-energetic therapist, developing her intuition and understanding of archetypal human dynamics and the power of love to heal. She is a certified yoga teacher with 900 hours of teacher training; and a committed meditator.
Kim is a nature-lover with a permaculture design certificate; a compassionate communication practitioner with over 50 hours of training; a perennial art student and specialist in arts-based inquiry for personal and professional growth.
Since 2013, she’s spent much of her time in Jerusalem where she’s been involved with programs that promote healing and understanding in face of complex trauma.
