I have been doing Yoga since age of 9. My first teacher was my father acharya Krishnan Ramasamy from South India. Realizing that I had joy in my practice, I always jumping-in with both feet joining my father’s Hatha Yoga teaching and spirituality practice.

I was introduced to Kundalini Yoga after my 19th birthday and became an excellent student of Master Paranjothi Subramaniam. After Kundalini initiation, I practice regularly both Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga. At the age of 25, I travelled to Germany for further studies and work few years in Spain and Denmark. During my early stays in Europe, I realized the importance of Yoga and mind training for sustainable life in modern-world and practice it daily.

In 2010, I attended a retreat with Tibetan master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche in Bodhgaya, North India. Soon after the retreat, I realized that Buddhist meditation and yoga enriched enormously my classical Hindu view of the world.

I learned combination of pranayama (breathing techniques) and flowing asanas with anatomically based alignment for a safer body and supportive exploration of breath. In earlier years, I learned about tantric philosophy and Ayurveda principles from my father. Throughout the practices, I realized that different yoga practice is fitting different individual and that encourage me to find my own yoga way that increases acceptance, curiosity and joy of living. From one point of view, yoga can be understood as sport. But this is only reduction on body aspect of practice. Spirituality and the full realization of Yoga is when body and mind comes together. Yoga is simply meditation in action.

In 2010, I formed Kumar Yoga Berlin based on understanding of Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga with challenging “opening” or “restorative” asanas. I experienced that it will create a well-balanced lessons that integrate physical awareness, strength, flexibility, mindfulness and relaxation. Yogic philosophy, pranayama and meditation will broaden the practice and offer an accessible introduction to its transcendent aspects. I attesting a certification for BDY/EYU Yoga teacher under guidance Yogacharya Ananda Leone at Yoga Akademi Berlin to be competent Yoga teacher and therapist.
