I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT), trained in asana technique, anatomy, pranayama, meditation and philosophy. My intention is to share the sense of peace and belonging that I have found through practicing yoga.

I practice and teach vinyasa yoga to build a strong and healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a clear awareness of both internal and external worlds.

It's Yoga - Cincinnati is where I completed my 200 hour yoga certification. This Ashtanga school emphasized proper anatomical alignment and adaptive techniques as methods of creating an effective practice per individual student.

I am continually inspired by sacred yoga texts, anatomy books, fitness gurus, and by every unique instructor and student with whom I practice. My ongoing education urges me to teach at the cutting edge of this ancient art.

Recommendation for Kristen

I have practiced with Kristen for approximately seven years and have attended her classes on a weekly basis for the past couple. I love that she always keeps classes fresh — incorporating different themes, poses and messages. Kristen does a great job of balancing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga, while ensuring that students at all levels get the attention and adjustments they need. I would highly recommend her as a teacher, and look forward to practicing more with her in the future.

Keen is not just her name!

I have had over 30 hours of instruction with Kristen, and she definitely knows her stuff. For being a young and emerging yogi, she has a deep understanding of the body and how it relates to the flow throughout her practice. She can modify things to personalize a yoga class; no matter your size, shape, or even injury she has the knowledge to make yoga accessible to anyone.

Compared to other instructors I have practiced with, Kristen is a good mix of funky/different and spiritually sound/physically aware. She can bring the intensity if that is the focus of the class, or she can center the mind and bring zen bliss.

I might have a biased review, because I actually practice with Kristen on a daily basis, but I think that also makes my review more insightful because I deeply understand her practice and instruction.
