Learning to go within and connect the mind, body and breath is the foundation of Kristin’s teaching. She aims to help each individual practitioner find ease (sukha) in each pose. Trained in the tantric lineage of ISHTA Yoga, she weaves the science of yoga through her classes by bringing anatomy, alignment, pranayama, kriya and philosophy in a way that is informative, lighthearted and understandable, and encourages students to ask questions and explore inside themselves. She prefers to be called a yoga “guide” rather than teacher because ultimately, our journeys are our own; we are our own best teacher and only we can truly discover who we are.
Kristin has been practicing since 1995 and teaching since 2012. She currently holds an E-RYT500 certification with Yoga Alliance. She calls herself a perpetual student, attending workshops and trainings whenever possible. She also holds certifications in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, as well as Children’s Yoga and Yoga for Children with Special Needs.
Along with Alan Finger, founder of ISHTA yoga lineage with his father Mani, she counts Mona Anand and Ulrica Norberg as strong influences in her practice and teaching.
She invites you to join her on this journey and would be honored to be a part of yours.
