I took my first yoga course from my sixth grade hippy social studies teacher. I began sharing yoga with others in 1995 and training yoga teachers in 2003. I presents workshops and trainings to yoga practitioners and healthcare professionals internationally.

I have trained extensively in a wide variety of yoga styles and in Asian bodywork and homeopathy. I'm the director of Sarva Health, which provides holistic yoga based trainings, education and services to enhance community health infrastructure. I'm committed to the adoption of yoga as a public health strategy and I belive that the future of healthcare is preventative and integrative, with patient-centered care focusing on healing the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – in the context of community.

My book, Healing Self Massage, Sterling (2005) is a great complement to yoga practice and offers help for a variety of ailments including stress, neck and back pain, insomnia and anxiety. I've also published articles for the International Association of Yoga Therapist’s journal, Yoga Therapy in Practice, Elephant Journal, and various health related publications, and I've been featured in Redbook, BodySense, Women’s World, and Natural Health magazine and Lifetime TV’s on-line magazine.
