RYT- 200 Yoga Teacher
I started practicing yoga while attending college at Indiana University. With a degree from IU in education I have always had a thirst for knowledge and my curiosity naturally progressed leading me to become a yoga teacher. I decided I wanted to share the practice and excitement of yoga with other people. I was trained at Invoke Yoga and Pilates in Indianapolis, IN. My mentors; Ahna Hoke and Eric Bryant helped deepen my physical practice and strengthen my knowledge of yoga. As a newer yogi I am able to create a class that honors all abilities and I stress the importance of listening to our own bodies without judgment. The beauty of yoga is when we can humbly recognize it as a long walk of constant change and progression, each one of us in our own space and time. I am inspired by the story of yoga and has had the great opportunity to work with teachers such as Frank Mauro, Todd Norian, Leslie Kaminoff, and Rob Hess. My classes follow a vinyasa style which address a mix of strength, balance, and flexibility. I strive to create a class that is energetic, playful, curious, and heartfelt.
