Kristy’s classes are slow-paced with a focus on self-awareness, presence, and modifying for individual needs.
Kristy Durst’s deep love and appreciation for yoga developed out of her journey through trauma and injury. She believes that practicing yoga on and off the mat has the power to move us towards personal transformation, mindfulness, presence, acceptance, and both physical and emotional healing. Kristy is drawn to the concept of Taoism and Yin/Yang. She believes that a quiet inward practice can assist in balancing our busy lives by quieting the mind, restoring mobility and dissolving tension in the body.
In teaching, Kristy provides a deeply relaxing and safe environment while encouraging self-exploration and the freedom to make each practice one’s own. Kristy offers many modifications to suit different bodies and needs.
Kristy completed her 250-Hr Teacher Training at Moksana in 2013, received Yin Training at Ajna Yoga in 2014, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She has also studied with Sama Fabian, Swami Mahesh and Ida Manly.
