I have always been curious about the world. In college I pursued the sciences, but was nearly driven insane by the pressures of the modern age. Scientific theory could no longer answer my existential questions, and practicing the scientific method could not enlighten my soul. Upon graduation, my focus shifted from the external universe of atoms to the internal cosmos of the mind. My practice of yoga would relieve me of the suffering from mental illness and re-kindle my lost spirituality. The practice of vegetarianism helps him to develop compassion for myself and others. And the practice of gratitude cultivates a feeling of genuine happiness that could not be obtained by external means. With scrutinous self-study, I am able to change my habitual way of thinking - transforming from an angst-ridden, emotionally unstable, suffering addict, to a calming, focused, and receptive yoga teacher. I now dedicates my efforts to the practice of yoga and teaching others how to develop their internal senses for self-healing. By taking care of ourselves, we will be able to understand the solutions for the global issues humanity faces.
Certifications
I completed my 250 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jim Bennett and James Tennant at Tejas Yoga in Chicago and received my certification in 2015. Through the program, I learned Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), Meditation, and Ayurveda, the Indian system of self-care.
