I have always been curious about the world. In college I pursued the sciences, but was nearly driven insane by the pressures of the modern age. Scientific theory could no longer answer my existential questions, and practicing the scientific method could not enlighten my soul. Upon graduation, my focus shifted from the external universe of atoms to the internal cosmos of the mind. My practice of yoga would relieve me of the suffering from mental illness and re-kindle my lost spirituality. The practice of vegetarianism helps him to develop compassion for myself and others. And the practice of gratitude cultivates a feeling of genuine happiness that could not be obtained by external means. With scrutinous self-study, I am able to change my habitual way of thinking - transforming from an angst-ridden, emotionally unstable, suffering addict, to a calming, focused, and receptive yoga teacher. I now dedicates my efforts to the practice of yoga and teaching others how to develop their internal senses for self-healing. By taking care of ourselves, we will be able to understand the solutions for the global issues humanity faces.

A lot of focus on the breath...

Kyle's classes are intense, with a great deal of focus on the breath, and just enough personal prodding to make sure you're doing your best. He's also both warm and supremely competent, the latter evident from his personal practice, which is amazing. Finally, there's space for both humor and questions in his classes, which is especially valuable to me. It really is a winning combination.

I'm not a big fan of chanting, invocations, or ohms and you won't find a lot of that in Kyle's classes, but he does guide meditation somewhat, generally focusing on gratitude.

I've practiced yoga for about five years, studying under maybe eight teachers, depending on how you count. He's definitely in the top quartile, and my current favorite. I definitely recommend him.

Kyle leads a very well prepared class that draws on established yoga disciplines coupled with contemporary challenges that reward both the body and the spirit.

My favorite teacher!

Kyle is a relatively new teacher, but his instruction belies deep spiritual understanding and a thorough knowledge of his discipline. Because of my work with him, I am more aware of, and stronger in, my body, my mind, and my purpose.
