Offering 3 styles of Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga and Qigong in Peterborough's quaint East City on Hunter St. Plus corporate classes in Pickering and Durham region through The Business Yogi.

My yoga journey began in 2006 when I walked into a Bikram yoga studio looking for something to get my body back in order after a rugby injury. Throughout my high school and university years I was a competitive athlete, I knew how to push my body to its limits and sacrifice myself for the ball and my team. In my first yoga class the instructor said, “Only go as far as your body will allow, don’t push to the point of injury”.The light bulb went off; I developed a disconnection between my body and mind, from that moment forward I vowed to come back to yoga to reconnect with myself.
In 2008 I graduated from Queen’s University with an Honours degree in Fine Art. In my final year I focused on producing anatomical art, splitting my time between my art studio and the anatomy lab. Yet, it was only through yoga that I felt my passion as an athlete and skills as an artist united as one; physical and mental determination combine with a reflective meditative state. With ideas of attending a yoga instructors course post graduation I decided that flying to New Zealand for a year abroad would bring everything into perspective.
After graduation I worked for the YMCA in outdoor education; running a Natural Art Centre and instructing kayaking, canoeing, repelling, and outdoor living skills in Canada and New Zealand. Once I had finished my work contract in I stumbled onto a 200 hour yoga teacher training course through Hot Yoga of New Zealand, and it fit perfectly into my traveling schedule. A serendipitous occurrence to say the least!

In October 2011 I completed my 200Hr Medical Chi Gong Certification in Phoenix Arizona under Master Instructor Michael Leone. He owns and licenses Martial Arts, Zen Yoga and Zen Wellness Centers in Phoenix. My understanding of the physical, energetic, and spiritual body through the 5 Elements and Meridians has greatly propelled my understanding of human nature and how we relate to this earth and universe on a broader scale. Chi Gong greatly complements and enhances my yoga practice.

I am so grateful for my instructors Lou Cassella, Claire Szabo-Cassella (owners Hot Yoga of New Zealand), Andrea Tutt, Jimmy Barkan (Jimmy Barkan Method of Hot Yoga) and Michael Leone; mentors Jason Campbell (owner of Zen Yoga and Zen Wellness Centers) and Madeleine Belanger; their guidance and knowledge lay the stepping stones for my path in a yogic lifestyle and business. And here I am today coming back to my roots in Peterborough Ontario (where I was born and lived the first five years of my life) running Hot Yoga Peterborough and broadening my experiences as I meet yogi’s from all different paths.
