Laura found yoga in 2009 as a way to get into “wedding shape”. What started as a purely physical practice started evolving into a deeper-rooted growth in the mind and spirit. Her practices started leaving her feeling alive and free and at peace. That is when she realized she wanted to share and spread this joy and freedom with others through teaching. Laura completed her Hatha based 200-hour teacher training at Nature's Whisper Yoga in San Diego, CA. with Jolie Cash.

Laura has since founded Harsha Roots Yoga and is thrilled to be on the mat teaching. Her classes are flow-based with a mindful focus on breath with movement and proper alignment to avoid injury. She includes hands-on adjustments and aromatherapy to awaken or calm the senses. Laura wholeheartedly believes in the change yoga can have on someone who chooses to receive and chooses to let go; someone who wants to connect, create balance and radiate energy both on and off the mat.

When she isn’t teaching you can find her spending time with her husband and daughter, working for Nature’s Whisper Yoga as the events manager, entertaining family and friends, admiring nature and embracing the path God has set out for her.

Couples Private Lesson

My husband and I had the pleasure of having a private lesson with Laura. While I am familiar with yoga, my husband had some misconceptions, however by the end of our hour long session he walked away with a completely different perspective. Laura explains each position and purpose, and offers some hands on adjustments as needed to be in proper form so as to gain maximum benefit. Laura is very friendly and helps you feel comfortable in poses that could be intimidating.


Very aware of personal safety by asking about any medical limitations and focusing on poses/positions that may compromise your health/well being. At the end Laura helps you relax with soft spoken relaxation techniques and gently touches. We walked away feeling energized, but totally relaxed. Highly recommended by Gary & Celina
